Anticipation

So in case you haven’t already gathered from my vlogs and tweets, this week has been crazy. We had the TMTM lake shoot on Monday, which was a ton of fun but very tiring, and most of the rest of the week has been dedicated to getting ready for the mission trip. Mixed in there, I took part in the BackSpace Productions website release and helped a couple in the church with their move. Needless to say, I’ve been busy. As I’m writing this post, I’m in the middle of making even more changes to the mission trip plans.

But this whole crazy week has been leading to an even crazier week: the mission trip. Starting tomorrow, kids from the Eldridge Children’s Home in Eldridge, AL, will be visiting us at Cavanaugh and staying with several of our families. My family will be keeping two boys. I can’t wait.

We’ve got so much planned. A church-wide carnival. A trip to Branson. A day at the lake. And so much more. Next week is going to be the most tiring week of my summer. But it will be so worth it.

Right now, I’m exhausted. But despite my exhaustion, I can only feel excitement. We’ve been working so hard and doing so much to prepare to give these kids the greatest week of their lives. And now it’s finally here. The anticipation is killing me. I can’t wait to spend this week with these kids, and I can’t wait to share my awesome experience with you.
