Beaverfork

For the past semester, I’ve been working two days a week at Camp Beaverfork, and it has been wonderful. I’ve had the privilege of improving the camp through maintenance and helping rebuild the camp website. I’ve been going to Beaverfork since I was seven years old, and I love being able to give back to the camp that has meant so much to me throughout my life. I’ve learned a lot about all the work that goes on behind-the-scenes when no one else is at the camp. And I’ve loved it. Today was my last day working at camp this semester, but I’ll be back for camp this summer and hopefully to work again next semester. I can’t wait!

Bible Nerd

This morning, I woke up to an email from Thomas Nelson (a very popular Bible publishing company) thanking me for using their Bible translations on YouVersion. They offered me two free PDFs of their new Bible translations, The Voice and the Expanded Bible. I was so excited that I couldn’t wait to check them out. I tweeted about my excitement, and Thomas Nelson replied.

You might think I’m weird, but I find it absolutely cool that I got tweeted by one of the biggest Bible publishers in the world. I guess it’s my version of a celebrity Twitter mention. It just added to my excitement about getting the free Bible translations in the first place.

Anyways, thanks to Thomas Nelson for the free Bible e-books and the tweet. You have made me very proud to be a Bible nerd today.

Uncle Devon

I’m an uncle. How crazy is that? I got to meet Aiden yesterday, and it still hasn’t quite sunk in yet. He’s an awesome little boy. So small and cute and smart. I was able to hold him for a little while, and I was just amazed by him. This tiny little life in my arms. He stole my heart immediately. I’m so excited to watch him grow and to have the honor of being apart of his life. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for him. I am so proud to be his uncle.

Welcome home, Aiden Reese. I hope you know just how much your family loves you.
