I know, I know. I said I was going to only post once a week, but I had to make a special exception for this. As some of you may know, a couple of friends and I have been putting out a podcast for a few months called the Are You Kidding Me? Show, and we're really proud of it. We knew absolutely nothing about podcasting when we started, but we've been figuring it out along the way and had a lot of fun doing it. We even appeared on the iTunes New and Noteworthy page! Pretty cool, right?
I've served as the producer on the show since the beginning. That means I work with Matt and Dave (the creators and hosts) to guide the show creatively, run the social media accounts, plan out the schedule, edit the episodes, and upload each show to the website and iTunes. Basically, I do all the behind-the-scenes stuff, and I really enjoy it.
I've been trying for a long time to schedule a time when I could actually be in the studio with the guys when they record. It took some time, but it finally worked out! That's right, I'm featured in this week's episode of Are You Kidding Me? and I couldn't be more excited. Matt, Dave, and I sat down to talk about Full House, the upcoming sequel series, the power of Netflix, and more. It's a pretty fun episode, and I hope you'll check it out.
I wanted to share this with you guys not only because it's something I created but because it's a way to share my life with you through a different medium: the spoken word. I'm not going to say I'm a huge fan of how my voice sounds, but it was definitely interesting to sit down with my friends and record a conversation to share with the world. Audio recording might be something I'd like to explore more in the future, but we'll just have to see.
You can listen to the episode on the podcast website, or if you prefer, you can stream it on iTunes. Either way, I hope you'll give it a listen and let me know what you think in the comments. I'm also interested to know: What podcasts do you listen to, and which ones should I try out? Tell me in the comments, and I may give your suggested podcast a listen. Thanks for reading, and I'll see you guys on Tuesday for my regularly-scheduled blog post!
